WCTSMA State Officer Allise Jackson Testifies in Olympia
/Student Leaders from Yelm were requested by OSPI to testify before the House Education Committee. Their role was to show how applied, hands-on learning in the CTE classroom connects to community and career activities through Career and Technical Studeent Leadership Organizations (CTSOs). Calli Hyder, FFA President; Allise Jackson, Sports Medicine President; and Joe Donan, Robotics President; showed tremendous poise and articulated how these programs give students opportunities at local, state, and national competitions. In addition, they shared how being a part of CTSOs have insipred them to make a difference in our community. Quite proud of these terrific student leaders.
