Winter Leadership - January 20, 2021

The WCTSMA student board has been hard at work putting together an educational, fun, and meaningful winter leadership experience for Wednesday, January 20th, 2021! Please refer to the attached flyer for information that you can send to your students.

Our guest speaker, Hoan Do, is providing an ebook for each student that registers so there is a minimal fee to cover the books. We have heard from some schools they do not have an ASB budget so we ran a tiered, flat fee schedule to help. Our thought was that it could be run through your CTE department if ASB funds are unavailable. Our pricing has been structured to allow CTE departments to pay registration fees. Please reach out to Larry at executivedirector.wctsmabod@gmail.com or Jake at stateofficerdirector.wctsmabod@gmail.com as soon as possible if you have questions or concerns.

Winter Leadership Community Service Project

Covid-19 has impacted all of us in many ways. Numerous regulations and safety precautions have been put in place throughout Washington. Unfortunately not everyone has access to the things needed to keep them safe. WCTSMA has teamed up with Friends of Youth, a teen homeless shelter in Everett to donate essential items to keep homeless teens safe. We will be donating items that can be found on Friends of Youth amazon wish list to abide by covid regulations. We ask each member school to consider donating items to Friends of Youth via their Amazon Wish List .

Donation can also be sent to:

ACCI High School Sports Medicine Competition 2021

Hello all

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe.

This has been a crazy year....all starting the week of the 2020 Sports Medicine Competition. With so many different policies and protocols, we know that most schools will not be allowed to travel for the 2021 competition. We also are unable to utilize our normal venue due to probable restrictions at that time .With this in mind, we have planned to host the 2021 High School Sports Medicine Competition completely online...as we did in 2020.

As with the 2020 Sports Medicine Competition. We will have a "Start Date" of March 18th, but will allow schools to take the written exam between March 18- March 27.

We will administer practicals to the top 50 students in each division (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced) via Zoom/FaceTime/Skype as we did last year start March 29th- April 6th.

Awards will be announced on Friday, 9th on YouTube Live.

With all the closures of business and other difficulties, we have decided to streamline the event this year. We will not offer T-shirts or presents for the students.. SO-we are dropping the price this year from $50.00 per student to $30.00 per student. We will continue with our tradition of shirts, and gifts in 2022 when we are able to meet again in person at CSUN's campus.

If you are interested in Pre-Registering for the competition (being placed on the Interested school list) utilize the link below.
